I have been a practicing Toronto podiatrist for more than 30 years, most of them at the present location on Eglinton Avenue between Avenue Road and Spadina Avenue.
Our office is a small practice and my staff has been with me for 7, 18 and 25+ years, respectively. We provide a personal, friendly welcome in our environment. Once in our office, a new patient is given a full set of tests, including a complete foot examination, testing pulses, examining skin texture and an inspection for deformities. We then discuss the foot problem which caused the visit, as well as any other concerns that we might have identified during the examination. We take our own X-rays on the premises and review them with the patient promptly.
We then present the treatment options. These may include regular care of corns and calluses, whirlpool baths, ultrasonic therapy and wax therapy. We can also provide: injections of cortisone for problems such as heel bursitis; nail procedures for ingrown toenails; surgical procedures for plantar warts; and orthotic devices for walking and sports. We also make a custom orthopaedic shoe which someone constantly on their feet might need or which may simply provide better balance inside the skate.
While my patients are from an evenly spread range of ages, I specialize in the treatment of children and youth. I served for 25 years as youth advisor and, during the same time span, as a Probation Officer with the Ontario Government's Volunteer Probation Program. As you can see, I have devoted my entire career to children's health.
My staff and I look forward to welcoming you in our office.
